Free Acting Classes – Unleashing Talent, Building Confidence

Every Sunday, under the open sky or in small local spaces, Anchal Bati Trust organizes Free Acting Classes for children from slum areas and underprivileged backgrounds.

Led by Alok Raj, a passionate artist and co-founder of the trust, these sessions are not just about acting—they are about expression, confidence, and healing. With full support from Vipul Kumar, the trust ensures that every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

About the project

These classes aim to:-

Engaging with educational experts, we uncovered what the most fundamental tools are for trainee teachers. This included how much time was required for training.

  • -Boost children’s self-esteem and communication skills

  • -Provide a safe space for creativity and expression

  • -Help overcome fear, hesitation, and stage fright

  • -Introduce children to the world of performing arts

  • -Spread joy and purpose in lives that are often filled with struggle

Children perform short plays, storytelling, mimicry, and emotional exercises. Many of them have never stepped into a classroom or held a mic before—but through these classes, they find a platform, a stage, and most importantly, a dream.

“We’re not just teaching acting—we’re shaping confidence and giving children the courage to imagine a better future.”

Our goal is to eventually build a full-time talent development centre for such children and connect them with platforms, scholarships, and opportunities in theatre, TV, and film.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
